I became familiar with ‘Project Enlighten’ during my studies in the USA. Asad and Olivia Rahman, who founded the project, are firefighters fighting bush fires.
Asad and Olivia were inspired to found ‘The Cambodia Landmine Kid’s College’ in 2006 after meeting Aki Ra. As a young boy he was disabled by a landmine and subsequently founded ‘Aki Ra’s Landmine Museum’. He remains an active leader.
This was the beginning of ‘Project Enlighten’.
The organization has been expanding and supports educational projects in South-East Asia. All donations go directly to their field work.
Their work in education inspires my work and I invite you to explore and support their work as well.
